What happened to Beatrice in Warrior Nun Season 2?

Sister Beatrice is a key character in Warrior Nun and has a very close relationship with the protagonist, Ava, fulfilling many different roles for her throughout the two seasons. But what happened to Beatrice in Warrior Nun Season 2? How did her relationship with Ava change, and where did she find herself in the end? We tell all, will giant plot spoilers.

Sister Beatrice is an interesting figure in Warrior Nun. She’s a strategist in the Order of the Cruciform Sword, but she’s also a fearsome warrior and a great team player, fulfilling important functions for a lot of different characters. Her relationship with protagonist Ava, though, is of particular importance, even more so in the second season, and it’s through that relationship that she finds herself in many interesting situations and predicaments.

Who is Beatrice?

Beatrice is the daughter of British diplomats who was able to find herself and a surrogate family in the Order. She’s the team’s strategist but also one of its better fighters, as well as playing an important mentor role for several of the other nuns. She’s quiet and reserved, but also has an analytical nature which makes her very cognizant of things going on around her.

While being very quiet, reliable, and team-oriented, Beatrice also feels somewhat apart from the others, and the implication is that this is because of her sexuality. She bonds with Ava initially as a source of moral and intellectual support, but they become closer because of their shared outsider status. Ava helps Beatrice to become more lighthearted, but also encourages her to embrace her perceived “otherness” more.

What happens to Beatrice in Warrior Nun Season 2?

At the start of the season, Ava and Beatrice are hiding out in Switzerland. Beatrice is trying to keep their identities secret and continue to train Ava for her coming battle with Adriel, though Ava is growing increasingly impatient. Eventually, the two are brought back together with the rest of the OCS after the FBC takes out the various chapters around the world.

Throughout the season Beatrice continues to aid the OCS in matters of planning and execution. She also continues to grow closer to Ava. This relationship comes to a major turning point in the Season 2 finale when Ava tries to sacrifice herself in order to take out Adriel. Beatrice is not down with this plan, and she tries to fight her way through Adriel’s cathedral in order to save Ava.

However, Beatrice arrives too late, with Ava having already been badly wounded by the Divinium bomb inside Michael. Lilith reappears and tells Beatrice that the only way to save Ava is to send her through the Arc, which is what Beatrice does. Lilith tells Beatrice that there’s a Holy War coming and that she hopes she and Beatrice end up on the same side.

At the end of Season 2, we see Beatrice leaving the OCS, though it isn’t clear what she plans to do next.

Do Beatrice and Ava end up together?

No, Beatrice and Ava do not end up together.

While the obvious romantic connection between the two characters forms an important part of both seasons, the two are not fated to be together — at least not yet. However, after many suggestive scenes, the two do share a kiss in the season finale when Ava tries to martyr herself to kill Adriel. There’s always time in the next season for the two of them to get together.

Who plays Beatrice in Warrior Nun?

Sister Beatrice is played by Kristina Tonteri-Young, who doesn’t have many credits to her name. Beyond Warrior Nun, her most notable role is in Outside the Wire, the Anthony Mackie-led sci-fi actioner, also available on Netflix.
