We recap the Peacock series Bel-Air Season 2 Episode 4, which contains spoilers.
The first three episodes of Bel-Air Season 2 were full of drama. From Will (Jabari Banks) moving back into the Banks household to getting back into old habits to Carlton (Olly Sholotan) beginning to have a meltdown, the season promises to be full of highs and lows for these characters. So let’s jump into episode 4.
Bel-Air Season 2 Episode 4 Recap
The episode starts with Will being angry because he is getting suspended for what he did during the protest. However, Carlton put him in his place by saying it was a selfish act and that he had one job, look out for him. Vivian and Phil do everything they can but break the news that he is suspended for a week, but more importantly, off the team. As he says to them that “no one gets him” at that school, he turns the corner, and the entire hallway applauds Will for what he did. Jazz and Hilary have a little chat where he says he can’t go to dinner with her because he is eating with his parents. Hilary offers the idea of meeting them, and a nervous Jazz agrees.
Vivian is working, and Will is being slightly annoying, and she tries to cheer him up. She mentions Doc and the AAU thing, but Will tells her he shuts it down whenever they discuss it. Moments later, Phil walks in with a list of chores to do around the house, making Will even madder. Back at the school, the nominations for the Founder Awards are coming out, and Carlton finds out that he will be on the list. Sadly, he doesn’t realize that Yazmin overhears what the teacher said to her and isn’t happy.
A little later, she confronts and snaps at him about what she heard. Later, Lisa and Carlton talk about what went down at the protest, and she understands what he went through that day and says he needs to tell Yazmin what happened.
After doing his chores, Will approaches Phil about meeting with Doc. Next, we see Doc giving Phil and Will a facility tour. Then, Phil wants to get down to brass tacks about the entire place. While that is happening, Will is getting a fade, and Jackie walks in to chat him up. Back to Phil and Doc, where Phil is breaking down the numbers and pressing Doc on the paperwork, and Doc brings up Vivian, which flips Phil out and he storms out of the place. Of course, this leads to Phil freaking out Vivian for going behind his back, but she gives it back to him.
What happens when Hilary meets Jazz’s parents?
Jazz is freaking out to his parents about Hilary coming over for dinner. As about a million words come out of his mouth, his parents tell him to calm down. However, as Hilary arrives, she shocks Jazz and his parents as she is dressed culture appropriate and speaks their native tongue. Jazz is blown away, and his mom leans over and says, “she’s perfect.” However, Hilary lays it on a little too strong and causes dinner to get a little too awkward. Later that night, the two discuss it, with Jazz saying she sounded like a “Muslim Wikipedia page.”
Carlton and Will head to the bowling alley, where there will be a little get-together. A funny moment between the two as Carlton tries to teach Will how to bowl, but Will says he doesn’t need the help and ends up sucking. Next, Will tries to give Carlton the courage to go and chat up Yazmin.
What happens with Carlton and Yazmin?
Carlton musters up the chance with her, but ultimately Yazmin turns him down. Drew takes this chance to confront Carlton about his actions and calls him out in the whole place. But, unfortunately, one thing leads to another, and Drew and Carlton come to blows.
Once things get broken up, Carlton announces to everyone why he had frozen up at the protest, announcing that he had a panic attack, followed by telling everyone he has anxiety and panic disorder and must take medication. It leads to a sweet moment between Lisa and Carlton bonding (they have a past).
Geoffrey has been doing some recon work for Phil about James (his business partner at the firm), leading to a bit of a confrontation between the lawyer and Phil. James informs him that he’s been having meetings about the firm’s acquisition. Phil freaks out, stating that is the opposite of why they started the firm. James tells him they need this for the firm to survive.
Bel-Air Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained
The following morning, Will makes light of Carlton beating down James but tells him that coming out about his disorder has inspired many more kids to do the same thing. Then, of course, Will butters up Phil and Vivian by making breaking for them and more or less begging for him to join Doc. Finally, Phil agrees to let him do it.
Will Phil let Will sign with Doc?
The episode ends with Phil and Will meeting with Doc to inform him that they agree. However, when Doc looks over the paperwork and sees Phil made some changes to the contract verbiage, after a slight hesitation, Doc is on board. As they leave, we see Doc thanking Jackie for getting in Will’s head to get him on the team.
