This recap of Star Wars: Visions Season 2 Episode 6, “The Spy Dancer”, contains spoilers.
“The Spy Dancer” will be tough to beat as the stand-out episode of Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, in virtually all metrics. It wraps a wholly unconventional story in Art Nouveau aesthetics, delivering a fine, ambiguous twist, oodles of action, and a highly specific – almost anti-Star Wars – setting and ambiance courtesy of French Studio La Cachette.
The French are no stranger to resistance, and that indomitable spirit is captured beautifully here.
Star Wars: Visions Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
Hetis and her guardian, Loi’e, work a cabaret club while quietly claiming membership in the rebellion against the Empire. In a show frequented by many Imperials, a personal element begins to emerge that compels Loi’e to take matters into her own hands.

A flurry of action as Loi’e takes on the troopers is a visual delight, combining striking choreography and costuming. It’s all dense with suggestions of a specific history that give the short a rich personal texture. Star Wars: Visions Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained
The big twist is that the Imperial officer really is Loi’e’s son, taken away as a very young child and raised within the very regime that cost Loi’e everything.
Loi’e reveals this to him before she’s able to escape, but finds solace in the fact she shared the truth, prompting the officer to finally examine who he really is.
The final shots of the episodes see the officer alone on the bridge of a Star Destroyer. When he removes his cap, we see his shorn horns, implying all kinds of terrible things during his time being raised by the Empire.
In his hand, a tracker bleeps steadily, connecting him to his mother across the vast expanse of space.
