Fun and light-hearted, this episode of King the Land had plenty of highlights and seemed to heighten the blooming romantic bond between the two leads.
Having Prince Samir come onto the scene as a wedge between the prospective couple has been entertaining, especially as it might expedite Gu Won’s (Lee Jun-ho) push to properly date Sa-rang (Im Yoon-ah).

How does Gu Won’s bond with Sa-rang strengthen?
After being unintentionally embarrassed by her friends, Sa-rang clears the air with Gu Won, putting an end to worries that the rich heir might already have a girlfriend. Then, the pair appear to agree to a date, holding hands as they take laps around the block together.
As hints are made regarding a potentially unflattering secret Pyeong-hwa is keeping from Ro-un, Sa-rang is made to prepare for a press conference which will see her have to wrongly credit Hwa-ran for the Mount Jiri rescue.
However, when the concierge spots Gu Won watching at the event, she also ensures the Head Manager receives his deserved plaudits.
Following a heated debate with his sister about her press conference “show,” Gu Won accepts the challenge to get the rich Prince Samir to stay at King the Land instead of First Royal Hotel.
Concurrently, Sa-rang is left to clean the lounge up alone because of the jealousy of her co-workers.
Soon, though, Gu Won arrives, willing to help Sa-rang with her work. Thus, the pair neaten tablecloths together, both admiring the other as they do so.
By the end of the scene, it’s pretty apparent the two have reciprocating romantic feelings.
What happens when Prince Samir stays at King Hotel?
While Da-eul is coaxed into working even more grueling hours in exchange for a luxurious incentive trip to Southeast Asia, news spreads that Gu Won has successfully convinced Samir to choose King Hotel. Yet the terms of this stay are peculiar, as the rich Prince’s contract states he must always be “answered to with yes,” and “served with a smile.”
Next, Samir takes a liking to Sa-rang when she greets him, so the wealthy Prince proceeds to eat a lavish meal with her and appoints the concierge as his attendant for the duration of his stay in Korea.
As such, Gu Won’s jealousy rises, and he ensures he consistently stays lingering around the two.
When Sa-rang and Gu Won get a chance to bond together, this time over the sincerity of smiles, Prince Samir interrupts, wanting to be taken to a palace. At first, it seems like a benign enough event, but it soon causes issues.
King the Land Season 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained
Frustrated that the smitten Samir wishes to try the traditional marriage experience with Sa-rang, Gu Won goes to void the contract he had signed with the Prince. However, the concierge stops the Head Manager, clearly aware of the potential repercussions of such an action, and agrees to oblige with the guest’s desires.
Following this, to end the episode, Gu Won surprises Sa-rang by arriving as the groom in the traditional marriage simulation.
