Michael Connelly’s book series The Lincoln Lawyer has resulted in a movie and is now a hit Netflix series starring Manuel Garcia Rulfo as Mickey Haller.
The second season is based on The Fifth Witness, the fourth book of Connelly’s series.
Mickey Haller and his team are trying to adapt to his newfound fame after winning the big case in season one. With new clients, love interests, and a big target on his back, Haller is trying to navigate life, love, and happiness. Part of that love and happiness involves his first wife, Maggie.

Maggie and Mickey’s relationship in The Lincoln Lawyer so far
Maggie is Mickey’s first wife and the mother of their daughter Hayley. The two have been separated for quite a long time, but the duo have kept a strong relationship due to co-parenting their daughter. Although the pair aren’t together anymore, they still share some sparks whenever they are around each other.
As we shifted into season two, Maggie was reeling from the Agnelo Soto case, which flipped her career upside down, and now she is trying to find her place after a demotion. Maggie and Mickey might have those sparks, but Maggie looks to move on from Mickey by starting to date around.
The two are thrust back together when Mickey is left for dead in the parking garage.
Do Maggie and Mickey end up together in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2?
Throughout the early stages of Season 2, Mickey and Maggie kept a healthy relationship based on being good co-parents for their daughter. We saw at the end of part one that the two had become a little closer until Maggie found out that Mickey used their daughter in his case against DA Andrea Freeman.
After the beatdown in the garage, Maggie and their daughter Hayley moved back into Mickey’s to help him get back on his feet. It resulted in some old memories as they played games together, cooked dinner, and had those family days that they all once yearned for.
As a result, Mickey and Maggie ended up sleeping together one night, and Mickey thought this was a step in the right direction.
However, the following morning, Maggie informed Mickey that she was taking a new job in San Diego where she would be the Head of Major Crimes.
While Mickey saw the night as a chance to reunite, Maggie saw the night as a goodbye resulting in the two not getting back together.
How long were Maggie and Micky married?
Mickey and Maggie were married for eight years. The pair divorced because Mickey consistently lost himself in his work instead of focusing on Maggie and their daughter Hayley.
