King the Land Season 1 Episode 15 Recap

What happens to Gu Won’s mother?

As Gu Won’s mother tells Il-hun to let their son live his life as he sees fit, we move forward to where the rich heir is faced with his estranged parent. There, he backs away initially before sitting down to talk.

Understanding his tearful mother’s reason for leaving him and encouraging her to live “for yourself,” Gu Won doesn’t entirely accept. However, he certainly acknowledges the apology he receives from his estranged parent.

Following that, the wealthy heir excuses himself, breaks down, recomposes, and returns to the room for an emotional embrace.

How does Sa-rang’s time with King Tourist Hotel end?

The next day, Sa-rang becomes invested in saving King Tourist Hotel after hearing how important its existence is to the exiled workers. Yet she cannot exactly do much, given she is hushed by her manager (who wishes to sell the building) and then made to prepare for a reappointment back to King the Land by none other than Gu Won.

That night, Gu Won and Sa-rang catch up. They first discuss the rich heir meeting his mother and realizing he’d never forgotten her.

Then, Sa-rang attempts to convince her partner she genuinely does like King Tourist Hotel, partly because it evokes memories of her concierge beginnings.

When Pyeong-hwa finally stands up to her smarmy ex-husband, Ro-un takes the flight attendant to a secluded area. There, he properly confesses his feelings and finds them reciprocated, with the pair embracing their budding romance with a kiss.

Due to his want to protect employees, as well as his newfound liking for the surrounding area, Gu Won decides he’ll buy King Tourist Hotel. “I want to create my own story,” he says of this, hoping he can inform others he was able to shield everything he wanted to.

Shortly after, Sa-rang chooses between Seoul and the tourist hotel.

How is Hwa-ran treated by her husband?

As Sa-rang returns to King the Land, so too does Gu Won, only now he is the hotel president. That, and Il-hun is now prepared to let his son do as he pleases so long as he can deal with any consequences.

Next, Hwa-ran, who still wishes to “fight” Gu Won for inheritance, is slapped by her husband. This comes because her partner is enraged by his wife’s use of money to break up his affair, with the business mogul swiftly told she’s just a “poor soul hungry for love.”

While Hwa-ran is comforted by her young son, who tells her he will go back to America, Da-eul takes a stand.

Tired of Ra-hee’s sleaziness, Alanga’s manager ensures the team will no longer be bugged to reach increasingly lofty sales goals by exposing their higher-up’s misconduct.
