Where was Harlan Cobens Shelter filmed – a breakdown of filming locations

Where was Harlan Coben’s Shelter filmed? We discuss the popular Prime Video series and the filming locations used by the production team.

Author Harlan Coben usually thrills his readers with tales of murder and suspense, filled with twists, turns, and unique characters. His work has been plundered by film and TV, and you might remember some of the adaptations of his work, including The Stranger, Gone for Good, and Stay Close.

It seems that the Coben well still has plenty of material left inside, and Prime Video has just dropped its adaptation of Shelter. This was the first novel in a series of stories featuring the character of Mickey Bolitar.

Mickey is the teenage nephew of another Corben creation, Myron Bolitar, and this series was aimed at a young adult readership.

It seems they took their time over green-lighting this project, as the novel was published in 2011, so there has been a long gestation period regarding the TV adaptation.

The story follows high school junior Mickey attending a new school and dealing with his own baggage, including a mother in rehab, a deceased father, and an irritating aunt.

However, Mickey encounters a strange elderly woman who tells him that his father isn’t as dead as they think he is, causing Mickey to start doubting everything around him.

A missing girl adds to the drama, and Mickey and his new friends are drawn into a dangerous mystery.
