After Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes’s characters move to a New York City apartment and she becomes pregnant, Farrow’s Rosemary starts to suspect that her baby is not from this world and was, in fact, created by their upstairs neighbors, who she believes are part of a Satan cult.
The Game (1997)
The story of David Fincher’s follow-up to Seven sees Michael Douglas start playing a game he was gifted for his birthday. However, as he gets deeper and deeper into it, he starts to question whether this is actually a game or something else.

Would You Rather (2012)
Iris (Brittany Snow) attends a dinner party at Shepard’s (Jeffrey Combs) mansion seeking help for her brother, who recently contracted leukemia. But she, along with the other guests, will soon find out that to get the help they desperately need, they will need to engage with Shepard’s sadistic Would you Rather game, where the questions will soon become life-threatening.
Game Night (2018)
Another similar movie to Ready or Not would be this 2018 surprise hit. During a fun game night with Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman, one of the players gets suddenly kidnapped, complicating things but also turning the friendly event into a real-life investigation, in which they start to realize that things are not what they seem.
Get Out (2018)
Jordan Peele’s critically acclaimed social satire follows Daniel Kaluuya’s character meeting her girlfriend’s family for the first time. But he soon finds out that venturing as a Black man into the elite, white society is just as dangerous as he feared.
Not only was it an economic success, but it also earned multiple Oscar nominations (and a Best Original Screenplay win) and put the name of Jordan Peele on the map as an original voice in Hollywood, who has since been able to explore his true passions.
Hereditary (2018)

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)
Things start to get quite real in Halina Reijn’s Bodies Bodies Bodies after a friendly murder-mystery game turns into a slasher film filled with backstabbers and plenty of social satire about the elite and rich youths. It stars, among others, Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, and Myha’la Herrold and was one of the surprise horror hits of 2022.
