A new problem has arisen for Imogene and Rufus with the introduction of Agent Hilde Eriksen, who has been hired to help find out who killed Keith. Her investigation turns out to be fruitful early as she puts the pieces together to discover that Jules uses an alias and has a massive rap sheet. Imogene finds herself in harm’s way at the end of Episode 3, with Jules confronting her in the hidden parts of the ship.
Episode 4 – “Hidden”
With Jules being wanted for the murder of Keith, Imogene finds herself tied up by him in Episode 4. He pleads with Imogene to help her keep them safe from Interpol, as they will send them back to their country. One of the refugees reveals that she saw black and gold heels in a room the night of the murder. Although they belonged to Teddy, she wasn’t with Keith but Llewellyn Mathers because she was a dominatrix. Governor Alexander finds herself in an uncomfortable position as someone on the ship has photos of her and Tripp Collier doing drugs and having sex together.
Episode 5 – “Exquisite”
Things are starting to unravel for Anna on the ship in Episode 5. First, she finds out that Leila wants a divorce. Then, during the Collier and Chun meeting, her father steps in to make a deal with the Chun family that she wants to reject. Sunil and Imogene deliver the refugees safely and meet with someone who could potentially help solve the case of her mother’s murder. A bug is found in Leila’s room, leading Rufus to dig into the days before boarding a ship and find hidden areas of the boat that someone had been hiding inside.
Episode 6 – “Tragic”
After figuring out Sunil is working with Viktor Sams, Rufus informs Imogene, and the pair catch Sunil on the phone with someone attempting to say he isn’t working for them anymore. As this happens, Governor Alexandra approaches Agent Eriksen to give her Lawrence Collier in exchange for immunity. However, the book she had was full of blank pages, and moments later, she died. Llewellyn Mathers finds himself at the end of the rope in Episode 6, and before jumping off the boat, he calls Rufus a fraud.
Episode 7 – “Memorable”
Imogene rewinds to 2005 in Episode 7, where she is stepping into the shoes of Rufus Cotesworth and his investigation of her mother Kira’s murder. As Imogene attempts to discover things Rufus might’ve missed, she realizes he was fired because he tried to talk her family and Lawrence into pressing her for more information. This gives Imogene the wake-up call that at a young age, her mother made her promise not to tell anyone what went down the night at the diner. Imogene saw Kira was meeting with Celia Chun, who was her witness to be able to take down the Colliers once and for all.
Episode 8 – “Vanishing”
The tangled web of lies surrounding everyone on the ship expands in Episode 8 when Anna discovers she isn’t a Collier. This leads to a massive pissing contest amongst the family when it is interrupted by Imogene, who confronts Celia about being her mother’s whistleblower. Celia revealed she took Lawrence’s bribe money to build a company to seek revenge and take him down. Later, we discover Lawrence has early stages of dementia, and Imogene uses it to get him to confirm he had her mother killed.
Episode 9 – “Impossible”
Viktor Sams’s henchman announced that they had one helicopter with nine seats, and each seat would go to the highest bidder. Tripp Collier works with his sister to determine how much money they have to bid on the seats. When he presents the offer to the man, he finds out that Father Toby has gotten his dad to write him a blank check for the seat. Eleanor attempted to talk her grandmother into buying seats, but she turned it down. So she went to the man herself and made a deal for a seat for her and her only.
Imogene unpacks everything she read inside Keith Trubitsy’s notebook and realizes he saw someone they couldn’t pinpoint.
