Uwe Boll Has Confirmed ‘Citizen Vigilante 2’ With A Terrible Poster; Gibbering Has Intensified

Given that I’ve already had to make several social media accounts private this week because people who claim to want to protect our women and children keep making death and rape threats under pictures of my kids, this is probably the last thing I’m going to write about Citizen Vigilante. I’ve already explained how it’s a terrible movie and a dangerous call to arms. I’ve laid out in really clear terms how its creator, Uwe Boll, is a talentless career conman who is grifting a gullible audience. But the news is the news, and given that the very same gullible audience has made the movie — with an Elon Musk alley-oop, as predicted — something of a roaring success, Boll himself has already announced a sequel, Citizen Vigilante 2, with the help of a mock-up poster depicting Armie Hammer pointing a gun with a picture of Iryna Zarutska, the innocent Ukrainian who was stabbed to death for no reason on a bus in North Carolina, and her killer, Decarlos Brown Jr.

The poster, while obviously in wildly poor taste and knocked together by someone using a free trial of Photoshop, also boasts the tagline: “He Comes to America”, presumably giving away the premise. However, given that Zarutska was an immigrant fleeing the conflict in Ukraine, and Brown was a U.S.-born citizen, it’s easy to imagine that the premise might invert the staunchly anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim stance of the first movie and just have Sanders, the character played by Armie Hammer, gunning down Black people instead. Or perhaps, more likely, Boll has just put out the most controversial image possible and not really thought too much about it.

How has this happened? Well, it isn’t difficult to figure out. Boll made a deliberately provocative movie pitched at an audience that would rally around it irrespective of its quality, and then he targeted various influential figures, notably Elon Musk, to promote it for him by playing up its real-world importance. Musk happily obliged, sharing the entire movie on X and boosting posts praising it, and here we are. People are more than happy to throw money at Boll, who has been panhandling for PayPal donations ever since the movie came out, and there are plenty of people who stand to benefit from its implications politically who would be willing to fund a sequel. There’s no doubt in my mind that despite the vast majority of Boll’s career and claims having historically been bogus, Citizen Vigilante 2 will be made and will probably be released in 2027, as Boll suggests.

Transitioning to America as a setting is interesting, though, since furore around immigration issues tends to be a European thing. This, and the poster’s decision to evoke the senseless murder of a white woman by a Black man, make me think that Boll will do his usual thing and attempt to up the levels, controversy-wise. In a video sucking up to Donald Trump, complaining that you can’t get a movie made these days unless it has a Chinese camerawoman with a wooden leg, and tagging in a bunch of other sucker celebrities like Bill Maher and Joe Rogan, Boll briefly mentions the sequel potentially being set in America, and quips that it would “be the end of the Somali scams”. In other words, he’s going to make a sequel about killing Black folks in America. What could go wrong?

I have no idea if Armie Hammer would be on board for this, but I’m going to assume he would be, since nobody else will employ him, so it isn’t like he’s going to be busy. Citizen Vigilante was effectively banned in Germany, which, in hindsight, really did help it, but that’s not a mistake that America would make, not with the general tone of political discourse being what it is over there. It’s something for the lunatics to look forward to, if nothing else. And on that note, I’ll leave you with this comment, left in response to Boll’s sequel announcement:

“Just watched it! The violence was absolutely awesome! We need to learn how to do it ourselves.”
