Summary
It’s nearing the end, and while the focus took a little step away from Kaleesha’s murder, the dramatic life that Jax lives is enough to keep all of us entertained. But, while it was ok for this episode to step away from the trial, it would be wise for the show to return the focus back to the murder for the final round of episodes.
We recap the Hulu series Reasonable Doubt season 1, episode 7, “N**** What, N**** Who,” which contains spoilers.
It’s quite hard to predict who the killer could be in this show. Is the show going to go down the obvious route and make someone like Sarah (Brooke Lyons), the killer? Or will it even be a character that we’ve not seen lots of, like Theo (Paul Fox)? Or will it have more of a twist and make someone like Daniel (Tim Jo) the killer? I highly doubt that Daniel is going to be the killer, but you never know. Anyways, below is a recap of what happened in the seventh episode of Reasonable Doubt.
Reasonable Doubt season 1, episode 7 recap
Brayden (Sean Patrick Thomas) is driving in the car with his wife, Sarah, and they are soon arguing with each other. Sarah claims that anything she ever did with Ryan was to protect him. She seems genuine about it! But Sarah wants to know one thing, was it just sex with Kaleesha, or was it more? And shortly afterward, the trial of Kaleesha’s murder continues. First of all, extracts are read from Kaleesha’s laptop. But Jax uses her time to shed guilt on one of Kaleesha’s friends.
Lewis goes to a party, and after a few drinks, he is soon bi*ching about Jax. One of his friends, however, tells him to try out couples therapy. And when that friend sees the drunken state that Lewis is in, he advises him to go home for the night. But as he goes to leave, he bumps into a couple having sex. Will he be tempted to join in?
In the next scene, we see Lewis going to see Jax. He moans about not being able to touch her. So, Jax scolds him for always making it about his feelings. Yet, as Jax puts it, he never wants to talk about her feelings. In response, Lewis tells Jax that he put his career on the back burner so she could achieve in her career. And that is why Jax believes their marriage isn’t working. As she puts it, Lewis resents her for doing a job that she loves. And she resents him for resenting her.
Reasonable Doubt season 1, episode 7 ending
When lewis speaks to one of Jax’s friends, she tells him that Jax seems happier. Naturally, that friend believes she is saying a nice thing about Lewis. Obviously, of course, that happier feeling is thanks to Damon. And it’s nicely demonstrated by cutting to Jax and Damon in bed together.
During the trial, Jax attempts to throw doubt on the trial investigations. And it looks like it’s working. But Jax still doesn’t think it’s enough. Afterward, Jax and Damon go for lunch, and Lewis catches them from afar. Naturally, he’s pis*ed. The following morning, Jax receives a call from her Mom. Paul is in the hospital. At the end of the episode, Lewis calls up T and tells him that he is done with Jax, this time for good.
