In “Tsunami” the cyberattacks on London only worsen as two trains are forced to collide with one another, causing death and destruction. Alison (Eva Green) and Gabriel (Vincent Cassel) find themselves in the midst of all this chaos. Gabriel attempts to track down the Syrian hackers, who may have intel on further terrorist attacks. While Alison is reconnected with her old flame. It’s a dull installment without any real tension, and many forced setups that are entirely unbelievable. Here’s what happened in Liaison Season 1 Episode 2:
- Alison and Gabriel meet at an AA meeting, where Gabriel updates Alison on the reasons he’s in London. He’s after Walid and needs to know his location. Alison considers phoning the police but takes Gabriel for a drive instead.
- They discuss Walid and Samir, who have important intel on a possible terrorist attack in England. Gabriel believes they are in London to formulate a lucrative trade deal for this information. Alison wants Gabriel to turn himself into the police, but he runs off instead.
- Albert’s daughter Kim goes on a train with her friends. The signal control center is hacked, causing two trains to crash into one another. Kim survives the crash and is taken straight to the hospital.
- Gabriel uses the chaos at the hospital as a distraction, while he hacks their database. He finds Walid’s room and takes on the disguise of a doctor. Alison arrives to support Kim but spies on Gabriel instead. She follows him through the hospital.
- Gabriel tries to take Walid’s fingerprints, but Walid’s monitor goes off; someone has gotten to Walid first. Gabriel and Alison share an intense embrace before Gabriel flees.
- Gabriel updates Dumas on the current circumstances; Walid is dead. Dumas lies to Didier about Walid’s death.
- Samir heads to Dunkirk, escaping England. He calls his wife, who is in Belgium, and promises to reunite with her soon.
- Gabriel is hunted down, being wrongly accused of Walid’s murder. He manages to escape, but Alison won’t help him.
- Richard asks Alison to help sign a deal in Brussels to get Britain to re-enter the cybersecurity agency. However, Didier is working against them.
- Gabriel steals Alison’s phone and looks through all her private photos.

- The whole gang is heading to Brussels. Samir is following his partner, Myriam, while Gabriel is hunting down Samir, going wherever he goes. Alison and Mark have been sent to Brussels to formulate a deal. All these characters will be drawn together once again.
- Gabriel will eventually corners Samir and ask for the passcode, but Samir will refuse to help. Gabriel may be forced to pay Samir for the information or torture him instead.
- Alison will try to finalize the deal, but Sabine has been ordered to stop it from going ahead. It will be an awkward encounter, one that may end in an argument or fight.
- Back in London, there will be a fourth cyberattack.
