Does Zeke come back in Manifest Season 4 Part 2? We discuss key plot points in the final episodes of the Netflix series.
Introduced at the end of season 1, Zeke Landon’s (Matthew Clayton Long) story was full of ups and downs. Like the passengers, he came back from the dead. And like Michaela, he also felt responsible for a loved one’s passing.
He risked his life many times to save the people he cared for and spent his career helping troubled teens. As hard as Zeke’s journey was in the first three seasons, the first half of season 4 had him make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. Here is what happened to this beloved character and how the show ended his compelling arc.
Was Zeke on 828?
While Zeke was not on Flight 828, he was a time jumper like the other passengers. Burned with guilt over his sister’s drowning during a family vacation when he was younger, Zeke went hiking in the same area in 2017.
A storm caught him out on his hike, so he sought shelter inside a cave. A photo of Michaela from a magazine article remembering the still missing Flight 828 passengers helped him through the storm.
When he did emerge from the cave, he kept hearing a Calling instructing him to “Find her.” He eventually came across Michaela and Cal, who were led to a cabin by their own Callings. Zeke was shocked to learn it had been a year since he first went hiking.
In season 2, Zeke and Michaela fall in love and marry days before his Death Date.
Leading up to Zeke’s Death Date, he was slowly freezing, and despite Saanvi’s best efforts, she couldn’t find a cure for his permanent frostbite. But Zeke became the returnee to survive his Death Date, giving the rest of the passengers hope they could also live past theirs.
After his Death Date, Zeke became an empath who used his abilities many times, helping the other characters solve problems. He also found his vocation as a mental health counselor for troubled youth.
What happened to Zeke in Manifest Season 4?
Zeke’s fate in season 4 is one of the most heartbreaking in the series. Throughout the season, he kept noticing his empathic abilities getting stronger. He could take on other people’s pain, which deeply affected him and led to him relapsing after more than a year in recovery from drinking.
Luckily, the relapse didn’t last long. His family needed him, specifically his nephew, Cal, whose cancer had returned. Zeke sat at Cal’s side as his condition worsened, and the young man had to be placed in hospice.
In part 1’s finale, Zeke realizes he had the power to save Cal’s life. But it required a sacrifice. Knowing how important Cal was to the passengers and the whole world, Zeke took on his cancer and died in his place.
Michaela returned from her and Ben’s confrontation with Angelina just in time to watch her beloved husband take his last breath.

Does Zeke come back in Manifest Season 4 Part 2?
Death is rarely more than a slight inconvenience in Manifest. So, yes, Zeke does come back in season 4, part 2. He doesn’t come back to life as a version of himself from inside the glow only Michaela can see.
Like Daly, Fiona, and Cal, when Zeke was stuck in that cave, he was inside the Divine Consciousness’s glow. While there, he had access to knowledge of the future and the past. He appears to a grieving Michaela and tries comforting her.
During their conversations, Mick learns how close the two of them were to meeting on multiple occasions in the past, including the night Flight 828 was meant to originally land. As Glow-Zeke’s time inside the divine consciousness comes to an end, he stops remembering her.
Michaela then gets the opportunity to communicate with Zeke from the past. And we learn she was the one who gave him the “Find her” Calling that brought them together back in season 1. It’s all connected.
Zeke is alive and well at the very end when Flight 828 lands back into the past after the passengers survive the Death Day. In the alternate timeline, he’s a taxi driver at the airport. Remembering her conversations with Glow-Zeke, Michaela hops into his taxi after telling another potential passenger that 2013-Zeke was her husband.
Of course, 2013-Zeke has no idea who the strange lady inside his taxi is, but the two share an instant connection, thus continuing their love story.
