This article discusses whether there will be season 2 of the Amazon original series Chloe and its renewed or cancelled status.
Chloe is thriller series created by Alice Seabright for both the BBC and Amazon Studios; the six-part thriller actually aired on the BBC in February of this year. But does that mean that the series will be returning for a second season?
Well, first of all, is there enough story left for Chloe to return for a second season? After the character “Chloe” dies, seemingly by suicide, her former childhood best friend, Becky, becomes determined to uncover the truth. And to do so, Becky takes up the alias of Sasha Miles and forms friendships with Chloe’s nearest and dearest, including her husband Eliott, and close friend Livia.
And with the first season of Chloe, we aren’t exactly giving all of the answers. So does that mean it will be returning in the near future?
Will there be a season 2 of the Amazon original series Chloe – renewed or cancelled status
No, Chloe will not be returning in the near future. As the six-part series was billed as a limited series, it suggests that there are no plans to make anymore. That is, unless, like Big Little Lies, the first season proves to be a huge success and the network(s) decide that they want to go forward with more episodes.
The creator of Chloe, Alice Seabright, has said there while there are ways for the story to continue, she isn’t 100% sure if it should happen right now. Furthermore, she goes on to say that as the first season works in a limited capacity, she’s unsure if any future version would end up being what she would want to do.
And there you have it. Despite not having all of the answers by the time the final credits rolled, it’s unlikely that Chloe will ever return. And therefore, it looks like it’s up to us to decide what happened to Chloe and those she left behind.
What did you think of Chloe? And are you disappointed that it won’t be returning for a second season?
