Summary
If there was ever a show like Scandal, this is it. However, I’m going to be bold and say that based on the first two episodes, this series could be even better.
This recap of the Hulu series Reasonable Doubt (2022) season 1, episode 2, “Family Feud,” contains spoilers.
Reasonable Doubt season 1, episode 1 was a great start. I’m expecting this episode to follow that quality. Although, there have been some shows that have dipped after the pilot episode. Will Reasonable Doubt be one of those shows? I don’t think so. In fact, I’m going to predict that the show will get better the more we see of it. Read the recap to find out if I’m correct.
Reasonable Doubt season 1, episode 2 recap
Kalisha’s body gets removed from the murder scene. As he was the victim’s boss, Jamarion may have a bit of trouble on his hands. In the morning, Jax rushes Will out of her home, and she then dashes to work. Kalisha’s murder is becoming hot news. However, it’s Jamarion that is getting most of the attention, rather than the victim herself. Despite the issues that surround the case/client, Theo tells Jax that she’s the best person for the case. Although, Jax is unsure whether she wants to take on Jamarion’s case.
When Jax has drinks with her friends, she reveals that she’s unsure whether Jamarion is innocent. And whilst she doesn’t allow that to be the deciding factor for taking on jobs, there’s something holding her back from representing Jamarion. Later that night, he calls her and asks her “how much”. But she tells him that this isn’t about money and puts the phone down on him. Jax and Lewis’s children chat amongst themselves and wonder if their parents are getting divorced. Elsewhere, Jax and Lewis go on a date. It goes well, and they have sex.
The ending
As she gets to work on the case, Jax takes a break from the court and meets with Damon. After ordering coffee, which proves to be quite the task for Damon, they go to the beach. Jax has enough, and she straight up asks Jamarion if he raped Kalisha. He says that he doesn’t know as in his truth, he didn’t rape her. But in Kalisha’s truth, he did rape her. As a result of the response, Jax decides to take on Jamarion as her client. Later that night, Jax tracks down Jamarion at a basketball court. She realizes that he was in love with Kalisha. She tells him that she will fight for him, but he cannot run from the crime. Together they go on the local news, and Jax publically supports Jamarion.
Quite an exciting ending. And based on that very ending, the story in Reasonable Doubt seems to be heating up. Personally, I’m really enjoying the show, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
