Pope and Cleo get together in season 3 of Outer Banks. Like the other relationships in the show, Pope and Cleo’s isn’t without its highs and lows, which are addressed across the breadth of this ten-episode season.

Early on, these teens bond, agreeing that they are unlucky in love. They decide to form their no-love club. However, this is short-lived as the couple eventually becomes an item.

Along the way, these two continue to develop their relationship. Pope shows great kindness and offers Cleo a place to stay when they return to Kildare Island. Pope convinces his parents to let Cleo live with them.

Cleo takes Pope’s bedroom, which is the first one that she has ever had to call her own. They bond further on the train heist, where they pretend to be runaway lovers, which isn’t that far from the truth. Later, Cleo helps Pope deal with his anger problems, and together they find further clues leading to El Dorado.

After finding a translation key, they must convince Pope’s parents to let them travel to South America. Cleo manages to persuade them, and they head into further danger on the road to El Dorado. In Venezuela, things get a little too serious as Singh’s henchmen chase them. In the middle of the jungle, unsure of their safety, Pope and Cleo eventually share a kiss.

Cleo delivers an emotional speech, fearing she will never get a chance to say these words to Pope again. She talks about how she has always fought to survive on her own. Pope has shown her another way of life, one where she feels safe and hopeful. She then goes in for the kiss, and Pope reciprocates.

Will Pope and Cleo break up or stay together?

After surviving the explosions and the many attacks in the jungle, the couple returns to normality. We jump forward eighteen months and find the gang is being celebrated for their heroics. You can see Pope and Cleo are still in love, holding hands at this event.

It looks like Pope and Cleo stay together, even after all that time has passed. John B mentions Pope going back to school, although he doesn’t say what Cleo is up to now. Whatever the case may be, it would appear that this couple has managed to defy the odds; they are still together and are very much still in love.\
