Amanda Guarragi

Amanda Guarragi joined Ready Steady Cut as an Entertainment Writer in June 2022, and since then, she’s had over 300 articles published for the site.

Amanda is a Toronto-based film critic who has covered TIFF, Sundance Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, and HorrorFest International. She has been writing consistently for the past eight years.

Amanda also launched her website/YouTube channel called Candid Cinema, where she covers her expert opinions on entertainment and provides commentary on pop culture.

She is part of the NAFCA and the Cinemania World Podcast team. Movies will always be her first love, but in 2023, Amanda has become a reader working for Maude’s Book Club. Her favorite director is Martin Scorsese, and her favorite film is The Departed.

She will watch anything and everything and is always looking forward to award season.
