As Ishida took his last breath, Hayama cemented himself as the leader of the Chihara-Kai. He pushes the blame on Sato because he allowed him to go into the club without much backup. Hayama’s first course of action in Episode 6 is to try to get Sato’s brother Kaito to kill Tozawa, but Sato is able to stop him before he does it.

Jake gets Samantha to help with a lead, but it turns out deadly on several fronts. First, his newspaper runs an article saying Samantha was in cahoots with Ishida. Then, with her identifying the tattoo of the two men at the shooting, Detective Katagiri and Nagata find one of the men dead, with the other arriving at Katagiri’s house that night pleading for help.

Episode 7 – “The War at Home”

Detective Katagiri and Nagata lock in an agreement with their witness for them to get manslaughter in exchange for testimony against Tozawa. However, on their way to court, the witness is shot and killed. Katagiri calls Jake and asked him to hop on a plane to Minnesota to talk to the doctor.

Jake’s deep dive into Tozawa turns out to be deadly in Episode 8 as it leads to a sit down with Tozawa’s right-hand man. The man threatens to kill Jake and everyone he loves if he doesn’t back off. Although Jake agrees, Detective Katagiri pushes Jake to move forward as he is their only hope to take him down.

Episode 9 – “Consequences”

Sato is seeing his fellow members of the Chihara-kai drop like flies in Episode 9 and heads over to work with Tozawa. Because he is the lone yakuza left to join him, Tozawa sends men after him to kill him. Jake, Eimi, Tin Tin, and Trendy put together the pieces that Tozawa is an FBI informant, and that is how he got into the States.

Tin Tin approaches the doctors who work on the yakuza, but it leads to him getting stabbed and put in the ER. Misaki heads to Samantha to find Jake, but both end up in trouble. Detective Katagiri and Nagata take down Tozawa’s right-hand man, Yabuki, while his wife, Kazuko, provides inside information on where to find Tozawa’s FBI agreement with Katagiri.

Episode 10 – “Endgame”

After Detective Katagiri finds the FBI agreement on Tozawa’s boat, he delivers it to Sato in Episode 10, the finale. Sato takes it to the yakuza bosses, who confront Tozawa at a dinner that he thought was for him and Misaki. Tozawa tries to play it off, but when his wife Kazuko arrives, she informs him that the only way to end this is for him to kill himself, and he does.
