With elements of dark comedy, horror and thriller through its eight episodes, The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window has plenty to please viewers across the world. But is its mixture of genres enough for it to return for a second season?

It never really had the chance to. Unfortunately, the series will not be returning for a second season. Despite the ending that could have signalled that there’s room for another season, the series has always been promoted as a limited series.
So sadly, whilst it’s likely that The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window will be a rating success for Netflix, (personally, I predict that it will be the most-watched on Netflix for its first week of release and could win tons of awards), it doesn’t appear that it will ever return.
That is unless the makers of the series follow down the route of Big Little Lies (2017-2019) and change the initial plan of the show being a limited series. So maybe not all hope is lost?!
But, as for now, there’ll be no more of this wonderful series, following the same fate of The Queen’s Gambit. Although considering the nature of the story, and the manner in how many of the characters reached the end of their story, one season of the fantastic show is worthy enough.
