Mickey Haller and his team returned for the second season of the popular Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer. The series based on Michael Connelly’s books sees a hotshot attorney overcome his past problems to become the most popular lawyer in the town.
Season 2 followed Connelly’s fourth book in the series The Fifth Witness. Throughout the season, Mickey battled the new fame of being the “it” attorney in the big city, which meant new cases and new people to test him like never before. We met Lisa Trammel, who initially seemed to be a new love interest of Mickey’s but turned client, which led to him battling the L.A. district attorney in another murder case.
Although season two struggled with trying to be a bit overstuffed storyline-wise, I enjoyed the entire courtroom battle between Mickey Haller and DA Andrea Freeman. It was watching two titans battle it out in this chess matchup to win the case. The acting from Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is top-notch as Mickey Haller, especially in that courtroom. I haven’t been this pleased with an actor who played a lawyer since Gabriel Macht played Harvey Specter in Suits.

Will there be a season 3 of the Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer – renewed or cancelled status

Currently, The Lincoln Lawyer has not been renewed for a third season.
With The Lincoln Lawyer split into two parts, we can already see the critic/audience score from part one. Both scores are a few points higher than season one, sitting at an 86% (up from 79%) critics score and 84% (up from 82%) audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
According to FlixPatrol which uses data to track streaming ratings worldwide, The Lincoln Lawyer sits at number 2 behind only The Witcher as the most-watched show on Netflix in July. The series has remained in the top 10 since part one was released on July 6, 2023.
If there is a third season, we already have an idea of where it will go with the massive cliffhanger we got at the end of season two. It looks as if the third season will follow Micheal Connelly’s fifth book in his series called The Gods of Guilt. The book follows Glory Days and how he thought he saved her when she returned to L.A. and ended up dead. In the finale, we saw Mickey meeting with a man named Julian Lacosse, who had been arrested for her murder.
Our official prediction is that The Lincoln Lawyer will be renewed for Season 3 at some point over the next few weeks. We’ll keep this page up to date with the latest information as we get it.
